The Conjuring 2 [Movie Review]

As a crazy and avid horror movie, I have to watch The Conjuring 2. Will it is as scary as the first one?

Here's my review on the latest movie by Sarawak-born director, James Wan. So be prepared for some spoiler ok (if you have not watch it yet).

While investigating the mystery of the killing in Amityville murder, Lorraine saw a demonic nun figure that pointed to branch-impaled Ed. Shaken by the vision, Lorraine and Ed agreed to take a break from any paranormal investigation.

At the same time, Janet, the youngest daughter of the Hodgson family in London, realised that she had been sleepwalking as she would wake up in the odd places in the house. She thought nothing of it until the whole family witness paranormal occurrences unravel in front of their very eyes - a moving drawer and a chair - for instance. In their quest for help, the media that interviewed the family also experienced paranormal events in the house and even managed to talk to the spirit via Janet. The spirit of the previous owner of the house, Bill Wilkins, told them that he wants to reclaim his house.

As the disturbance grew stronger and dangerous, the church decided to seek aid from the Warrens who reluctantly agreed to become the eyes and ears of the church. With the assistance from other paranormal investigators, the Warrens agreed that the disturbance was of demonic nature. However, when one of the investigators presented a video of Janet purposely wrecking the kitchen, the Warrens left the house.

Somehow, Ed realised that there might be something fishy about the video of Janet wrecking the kitchen and Lorraine got the vision that Bill Wilkins was just a pawn to a greater evil that wanted to possessed Janet.

What will happen to Janet? What is the connection between the demonic nun to the Warrens?

Plot: 4.9/ 5.0. I love the twist of the story when you know the connection of the nun to the Warrens. 
The Act: 5.0/ 5.0. What else can I say? The act was immaculate! The chemistry between Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson is undeniable as the Warrens. The other actors were equally good - Madison Wolfe as Janet was very convincing! Even though the movie is not as scary as the first one, it is still SCARY!
Will I watch it again: Yes, I would! Haiqal Rawlins
