Interesting Facts About Bangkok

Before one leave for a holiday in a far away land, one will normally Google about the interesting places or facts of that far away land.

Since I will be visiting Bangkok with fellow GLAMpreneurs anytime soon (FOC nonetheless), I did what other normal human beings do - I googled Bangkok.
Here are some of the facts that I do not know about Bangkok (and I bet that you too)!
1) The real name of Bangkok is not only mouthful, but also record-breaking. Apparentlt, Bangkok is just the short version of "Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit". Aren't you glad we could settle for Bangkok? 2) Thailand has some laws that one might fund funny but to me, it is good to have them. For instance, who would go out of their house without wearing underwear? I totally behind the idea of putting that person into jail for he/ she must be insane for not wearing any. Also, one is prohibited to drive any vehicle bare-chested.
3) Chinatown exist all around the globe and Bangkok's Chinatown (locally known as Yaowarat) is the largest in the world. One could find almost anything under the sun here. And I truly mean, everything.

4) Muay Thai is the national sport and known as 'the art of eight limbs" as it uses punches, kicks, elbows and knees.
5) Thailand - Bangkok in particular - is very liberal in terms of sexuality and tolerance towards gender identity. Thus, do not be surprised when you are face with three doors restroom - Ladies, Gents and Ladyboys.
