Bonus RM500 or RM 5,000?

PM's announcement about RM500 Raya bonus for the government staff gets everybody excited and happy.

What if the bonus was RM1,000? Or a month's salary?
I know that everybody will be happy like there is no tomorrow right? Everybody sighs happily now that we have that extra RM500 to spend on anything for the upcoming Raya celebration. I bet everyone has already planned something for that extra cash that will be debited to the account by 16 June 2016.
What if you could get at least RM500 per month but you have to lessen your TV-time or me-time   in a week?  A friend of mine even shared that she could not afford a  monthly me-time as it requires cash too.
Let's say, spend an extra 3 - 6 hours weekly on an extra activity but at the end of the month, you will get at least RM500 monthly. RM500 for EVERY MONTH. 

What would you do with that extra RM500 per month?
