Churros Craving No More

Way back in 2014, I tasted my very first churros in the sunny Surfer's Paradise in Gold Coast, Australia. Since then, I have been looking for the churros of the same quality but up to recently, to no avail.

And I came upon this very special posh cafe by sheer luck.  The aroma of the freshly made churros made me stopped in my track and retrace the smell back to its source. The best thing is - this cafe serves more than your ordinary churros, it even serves the ones with delicious fillings inside it and tailor-made to Malaysia's taste buds. No! They do not have the durian filling (yet) but some flavours are available only in Malaysia.
And the store that serves the best churros in Malaysia is Street Churros - only the world's largest churros cafe chain! Befitting its scale, I can vouch that its servings are the best. Currently, there are three Street Churros in Klang Valley, 1 outlet in  Genting Highlands and the fifth will be opening soon in MyTown Shopping Centre in March 2017.

So, how do you eat your churros? I love to eat it as it is, with any dip-ins that they have and also with soft-serves! And guess what, Street Churros has all these!

It is actually hard to pass the store and to resist the temptation of the freshly made churros.  So, what do I do? Hop inside the beautiful little and start ordering the churros, Ah-chu, Filling-chu and some drinks to complement the delicious churros.

Street Churros serves 3 flavours of Churros - Chocolate, Cinnamon and Cheese. My choice of Churros flavour? I always go for Cinnamon but here at Street Churros  I don't mind having all of them - chocolate for my sugar craving and cheese for the savoury flavour. Yep. I do enjoy food - that is why I have to exercise all the time. Don't blame me - Churros is my guilty pleasures!

And next, we move on to the Hot + Cold Da'Bomb. Hahaha. You will not find it on the menu as that is just the name I love to call it. A hot churros dipped in the most delicious soft serve. Want that extra flavour? Just pour the sauces on top of your soft serve - Chocochoco (chocolate), Chocoberry (strawberry) and Mango. My choice of sauce is Mango with Cinnamon Churros.
The crunchiness of the freshly-made churros, the amazing taste of cinnamon mixed with the deliciousness of the soft serve and Mango sauce just really hit the spot. Yes. I have arrived in Churros heaven. Hahaha.

The last type of churros that they have in Malaysian store is Filling-chu. Why? Because every bite promises you ecstasy. You can choose the fillings of your choice - Chocolate, Custard and Cream Cheese. I chose cream cheese and how I savour the melting of the fillings with every bite. Even now I am salivating over the thought of eating that Filling-chu again. Gonna rush after work and get one lah! A little bird told me that Street Churros is currently experimenting with more flavours that are closer to home and synonym to Malaysia such as durian but that is yet to come. After this perhaps they will consider banana, rambutan and other fruits too. Hehehe.

I chose O'MY Mango for my drink - just because I love everything Mango.    Hahaha. Don't fret as they have a variety of drinks too - shake, Ade, coffee and non-coffee drinks. They have O'MY Mango and O'MY Coconot (this is shake drinks - very similar to our coconut shake). Whereas for Ade (fruit drinks), Street Churros have Lemon, Passion Fruit and Korean Citron.
Fact: Korean Citron is great for flu. 
For the latte, Street Churros have Caramel Macchiato and Spanish Latte, and you can it in hot or cold serves. As for non-coffee, there are Green Tea, Milk Tea and Chocolate drink.

So, basically, you can invite all of your family/ friends for 'chill sessions' here, talk and take pictures in its posh cafe as Street Churros caters for everyone, in the matter of churros taste and drinks.
There are a few things that I noticed about Street Churros that really strikes me fancy:

1. The Churros are freshly made (not the frozen ones)
2. The churros are not oily
3. Street Churros really control its quality - no bad churros should be served to the customer - I watched with my own eyes the staff threw away a churros that crumble upon touching
4. The staff adhered to the hygiene regulations - caps, latex gloves and all and they clean the utensils regularly
5. The staff are friendly (I have visited two outlets and both are equally friendly)

So, no more churros craving for me as I have found that one churros store that can satisfy my need.
