The invitation to Jakel Shah Alam last weekend was an answer to my hunt for baju Raya.

Jakel Trading Sdn Bhd invited all the Jakel celebrity ambassadors to promote the latest Raya collections to the masses. During the sharing session with the ambassadors and Tn Hj Mohamad Izani Mohamaed Jakel (Managing Director of Jakel Shah Alam), the promotion sessions with the ambassadors is a yearly event. 
This year, the ambassador's entourage encompasses Aaron Aziz, Nabil Ahmad, Awal Ashaari, Scha Al Yahya & Lara Alana (Schawalara) and Ayda Jebat. The latest additions to the group are Hanis Zalikha, Hairul Azreen & Yusuf Iskandar and the children's idol, Upin & Ipin.

This year's collection focuses on the fresh and modern colours and patterns. Being the trendsetter, the collection boasts exclusive designs by the Jakel in-house designers. The designs are also elegant and affordable without compromising the quality of the fabrics, the colour choice and the detailing of the design.

As for the ladies, the price for baju kurung starts from RM79/pair and this year, Jakel introduces Lara Alana and Yusuf Iskandar as their children's collection and the price starts from RM39/pair.

Aaron Aziz Collection highlights the neat neckline, pocket and pattern motives. And this year, the collection introduces pastel colours alongside with its signature colours of emerald green, red chilli and royal blue.

Whereas Nabil Ahmad's highlights the concept of modern contemporary with extra highlights on the neck and the pocket. The latest additions the series of collections are Awal Ashaari and Hairul Azreen's collection.
As to diversify the choices, Jakel also introduces the collection for the plus size community with its current collaboration with Harith Iskander. 
KURTA COLLECTION Under the label of Awal Ashaari and Hairul Azreen, Jakel introduces the kurta collection that highlights the quality of the fabric and the great finishing on the neck and pocket design.
The collection is wudhuk friendly where the sleeves are foldable and can be buttoned up.  And it comes in a variety of colours.

a) Hanis Zalikha The label displays elegance, versatility and classy without compromising the traditional details of the wardrobe. The finishing entails intricate beadings and lace to portray exclusivity without dropping a bomb at the pricing. It is for everyone!
b) Hairul Azreen The label is made from the cotton fabric to suit the beautiful Malaysian weather. With slits on the sides and a pocket at the front and the left side to entail that classical kurta look. The kurta under Hairul Azreen's label is also wudhuk friendly.
c) Yusof Iskandar As for the little boy, the label under Yusof Iskandar comes in a more casual design. It portrays round neck and the fabric is kid-friendly too with lots of colour choices too.
