It has been quite some time since I last shopped (Read: Window Shopping) at Citta Mall. When I first stopped there, I was happy to find out that Citta Mall has a lot of parking slots for shoppers, which I found a bit lacking in most shopping malls in Malaysia.
Raya deco awaits you |
So, recently, my brother decided to fly down from Labuan and visited me. It was a long school holiday and he said that he needed some 'shopping therapy' and he read about great deals at Citta Mall.
Our first stop was at Milano Eyes Fashion. He needs a new pair (or two) of glasses and mine is well aged (over 5 years if I am not mistaken). With all the crazy promotions going on, finally my brother ended up with two pairs of glasses and I bought one for myself too.
Being an art lover, my brother main motive of visiting Citta Mall was to visit Jane Yap Atelier. There we found out that Jane Yap Atelier is a children art studio and gallery and offer classes for kids from 4 - 18 years old. My brother asked a few questions about the classes and he found out that Jane Yap Atelier also offers limited adult Chinese painting classes. We left the gallery with a huge grin on my brother's face - he must have some ideas as to how to add colours and excitement to his class, once the term begins.
Next, as Raya is just around the corner, I dragged him to Tomaz Shoes Store. I need a loafer to complete my Raya look. My brother was fussing of not wanting to buy shoes as he has lots of them but guess who ended up buying two pairs of shoes and a belt? It was me who couldn't find the one that I need as I was spoilt for choices at Tomas Shoes Store. Yes, that is me. I am clueless when there is so many choices and I couldn't decide when there is no choice. Hahaha.
For breaking fast, we thought of trying out some Japanese dishes here. There were two Japanese eateries that stands out among the lots of eateries in Citta Mall.
There is Tokyo Kitchen where they serve only Japanese style healthy meals which means no oil, less sugar, uses only natural salt and more protein in their dishes. We went into Tokyo Kitchen and were amazed that they have all these authentic beautiful Japanese decoration with several types of eating area - a hall of open area and a more intimate and secluded eating area for 4 person.
But my brother wanted to eat his heart out so we went to Iyakimono where we ordered a Super Value Set C which consists of teppanyaki salmon,Chicken, Takoyaki, salad, rice and green tea. On top of that, he ordered Australia Slice Beef Udon and Grill Squid. And he managed to finish all too.
And I told him, he has to go and soak himself in the onsen just like a Japanese does to lose all the fat. He just laughed at my idea while we were driving back to Bangi after a whole day shopping and eating like a Japanese at Citta Mall.

I wished I have a big brother or sister who would take care of me this way. Shop and eat, ah, what more could I wish for?
