Wonder Woman [Movie Review]

The beautiful and powerful Diana

Hoorah!

Another superhero film that is a must watch!

Since her appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the talk about her own movie, I think Wonder Woman is the most awaited superhero movie of the year (next to lots more in the pipeline).

The movie started with Diana in the present day Paris, reminiscing her past after receiving a World War 1 photo sent by Bruce Wayne.

Diana was raised in the island of Themyscira, home of the Amazons. Her mother, Queen Hippolyta told her that she was 'sculpted' out of her love and has no father. The Amazons is a race of warrior women created by the gods of Mount Olympus to protect mankind against the corruption of Ares. In his moves to overthrown Zeus, Ares was mortally wounded by Zues. Before dying, Zeus left a weapon for the Amazons capable of killing Ares, which Diana believed to be a ceremonial sword and called 'The Godkiller'.

I wonder whether this sword can cut the meat clean - I need the meat now for rendang!

Growing up, Queen Hippolyta overprotected Diana and believed that the day of her being harm will never come. But Diana disobeyed her mother's command and had her aunt, General Antiope to train her in secret. When they were finally discovered by the Queen, Antiope managed to convince the Queen that she will train Diana more than the others.

Steve Trevor came into Diana's life when his plane crashed off the coast of the-perfectly-hidden-by-mist Themyscira. Diana saved Steve's life without knowing that his pursuers (the German army) was not far behind. Trying to protect Steve, all of Themyscira engaged with the Germans and Antiope was killed in the attack. After interrogation, Diana learned that the world is in war and lots of innocent people were being killed by the Germans. Believing that Ares is responsible for the war, Diana armed herself with 'The Godkiller' and left Themyscira with Steve to find and destroy Ares.

And why does Mother has to crave for a deer for breaking fast?

Yeay! Almost breaking fast time. Sorry Mother, couldn't find the deer.

Please girl. At least make sure your foundation is evenly put on before you come and see me!

From London where Steve gathered a team, Diana and the entourage went to Belgium with the assistance of Sir Patrick Morgan. After successfully fought through the German lines, freed a village and had their pictures taken, the team went to a nearby castle to intercept Ludendorff's plan to use a gas bomb.

Will Diana succeed in her plan to destroy Ares?

Is there really Ares to stop in the first place?

Oh no! I am going to be late for Terawih and Mother is not going to be happy!

Plot: 4.9/ 5.0. I don't mind the time it took for the movie to build up the characters - it was marvelous. Now, people who don't know Diana will understand who and why she is the way she is. And I love the plot - it leaves you with questions and keeps you anticipating for the answers in the next sequel.

Cast: 5.0/ 5.0. The right Diana, the right Steve, the right Sameer, the right Charlie, the right Chief, the right Hippolyta, the right Sir Patrick. No complain at all!

Will I watch it again: I watched it in Atmos D Box and next I want to watch it in 3D!
