Welcome to #HPPNK17 & #MFF17 |
I just got back from Hari Peladang, Penternak & Nelayan Kebangsaan (HPPNK 2017 | #HPPNK2017) and Malaysia Food Festival (MFF 2017 | #MFF17) in Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).
What's my thought about #HPPNK17 and #MFF17?
I totally love it.
I was there from 10 am until 4 pm and I still want to go again over the weekend.
Why?
Here are my reasons why.
1) Food Heaven
It was said that there will be more than 400 local delicacies will be on display throughout the event. And true to its promise, I think I saw more than 50 dishes throught the time I was visiting booths and halls.
Here are some of the food that I managed to take pictures off and tasted during my visit there.

2) Innovation
Yes, all products are produced based on local products by the locals - the unsung heroes of the country. Without each of them, there will be no rice, chicken, fish and other basic necessities that we took for granted. Thanks to their creativity and innovation, now we have a vast variations of usage for our local produce. There's Tuna Sate (by LKIM) and several giant jackfruits on display, all thanks to the rigorous R&D done by local research institutes and entrepreneurs. In MARDI booth, I was in awe when I saw all the wellness and health products on display - all are based on our local produce too.
Kudos to FAMA for introducing AgroBazaar, an online platform for the entrepreneurs to sell their products to the whole country and the world too. And another innovative move is to introduce QR for all products - this move is to ease the buyer when they are searching for information about the products.

3) Support Local and Be Thankful
The main purpose of #HPPNK17 and #MFF17 is to support our local products and also to celebrate the unsung heroes who provided us with our food. Without them, I wonder what will be our daily meals be? All the fast food? Imagine that.
There will also be Agro Job Fair with 2,000 job openings, waiting to be filled. So hurry up and catch the opportunity.

4) Location
You can call me bias, but I think MAEPS is the best place to have a grand event such as HPPNK17.
Why?
It is near to Putrajaya, located almost in between of KLIA and Kuala Lumpur city center and IOI City Mall is located just next door to it!
It is the best place for a family to bond over our local produce and teach the young ones about the richness of Malaysia' resources.

Why don't you guys also head on over and enjoy yourselves too?
HPPNK17 is on until 10 pm on 1 October 2017.
