Last weekend, a few of us blogger friends decided to do a little reunion, as everybody has been busy with life, work, family and other events to attend that we haven't seen each other for quite some time. We decided to go Arabic this time and agreed to try out Hadramawt Kitchen at Suite G8, Wangsa Maju.

Go Arabic y'all! |
Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed all the Arabian decoration and it was spacious too. The distance from one table to another is considerable and allows people to walk without having to knock anyone on his/ her way (unlike some restaurant where they put the tables too close together just to get more tables in the restaurant). And I noticed that there is a special room for a private function too, which was occupied when we were there. Accompanied by Arabian songs, the vibe was certainly there. I was half expecting a belly dancer to dance around the restaurant HaHa.

The interior |
We were served with the best sellers of the house, prepared by an authentic Arab cook. He prepared the food as original as if it was served in their home country. So don't fret about the authenticity of the dishes as you will not be getting a Malaysianized Arabic food.
First, we were served with Lamb and Chicken Mandy. Usually, the dish is served separately but for our group, the chef combined the two best dishes together. Not that any of us mind it. I love the rice and the chicken was tasty. I don't take lamb but my blogger friends were all enjoying it, so I guessed it was great for them too.
Chicken Mandy | 1/4 chicken @ RM20 | 1/2 chicken @ RM24
Lamb Mandy | RM28

I was totally awed and loved this next dish. It is a bread and called Moulawah and served in two sized - small and big. We were served a big Moulawah and it HUGE! My friends loved it when it was still hot, I loved it in either way as it was tasty hot or cold. Oh. It comes with a tasty gravy too.
Moulawah Small | RM3
Moulawah Big | RM5

That is one huge bread |
For the dessert, we were served with a specially-made dessert called Khunafa/ Kanafeh (كُنافة). Kanafeh is a traditional Palestinian dessert made with cheese pastry soaked in sweet-sugar-based syrup. I was a happy soul to be served with such tasty dessert (#RawlinsIsADessertFreak)
|
Ice cream & Khunafa |
Before calling it a day, we were served with arabic tea in two varieties - black tea and milk tea. It has some spices in it and I was loving it to the max!
To taste the food from this little Arabic hideout , just head on to Suite G8 in Wangsa Maju.
