Ant-Man and the Wasp [Movie Review]

It has been quite some time since I last reviewed a movie. It is not because I did not go and watch all the latest movie - oh no! I went and watched all the movies - I just don't have the time to review them.

But when Golden Screen Cinemas (GSCinemas) invited me to the premiere of among the most awaited movies of 2018 - Ant-Man and the Wasp - I literally said yes without even checking my schedule.
Why did I say yes without any hesitation?
I get to watch it in the Onyx Cinema LED Screen at GSC Cinema Midvalley in Hall 11.

SYNOPSIS

Scott Lang is under house arrest, after his involvement in the Civil War. He was trying his very best to be the best 'prisoner; by not violating the order and entertaining his daughter at home, while at the same time work with his friends in their security company, X-Con Security Crew (pun intended I assume).

Ewww. Did your ant wash itself before you hop on it? 

At the same time, Dr. Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne are building up a Quantum Tunnel in order to find and bring back Hope's mother, the original Wasp from the sub-microscopic dimension. In order to build the tunnel, they dealt with Sonny Burch, a black market tech-dealer to find the final piece to complete the tunnel. Sonny learned of Hope's real identity and blackmailed her before Hope turned into the Wasp, floored all the gang and was walking away with the equipment before a ghostly, phasing figure appeared before her and fought her for the equipment. The figure succeeded. But not without Ant-Man and the Wasp gave chase.

Being a greedy dealer, Sonny vowed to get his hands on Dr Pym's laboratory, so he gave chase and fought for the equipment. 

There are a whole lot of people going after the laboratory - all for different reasons so one can expect a lot of fighting and chasing scenes throughout the movie.

Pssst: I think this is the shortest movie review that I have ever written. I don't want to reveal too much.

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.0/ 5.0. There's nothing new - no surprise whatsoever with the plot. But there are so many funny scenes throughout the movie that will keep you awake. PSSST: There are two-post credit scenes so please just stay put until the very end, ok.

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0. The originals of Ant-Man is here, with a new addition ie the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne aka Michelle Pfeiffer! Love them all!

Will I watch it again: YES.
