Growing up in the '80s and '90s means that you have grown in the era of fun and the enthusiasm leading to the year 2000. And it is also hard not to notice the explosion of boys bands everywhere in the world!
When 'Love me for a reason' by Boyzone first aired, I instantly hooked up! I don't even care when my father said that the original version by The Osmonds was better because I was (and still am) loving their version is much better. And I have been their fan ever since.
I love singing When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating whenever I go to the karaoke.
So when I learnt that Boyzone will be doing their "Thank you and Goodnight Farewell" Tour in Malaysia this coming June, I am over the moon! And this particular concert will be their last show too! How can I let go of the chance to attend their curtain-call show!
What I heard that Boyzone will be performing some of their greatest hits including “When You Say Nothing At All,” “No Matter What” and “Love Me For A Reason.” which happens to be my all-time favourite songs!
“When we started out as five young Dublin Northsiders, eager to face the world, we never imagined that we’d still have an army of fans some twenty-five years later… If you’d seen our famous first TV appearance on ‘The Late Late Show,’ you’d probably be surprised too!” said the band, according to the tour website.
Boyzone enjoyed success throughout their career.
“We’ve played stadiums and arenas all over the world, released six albums, and had almost two-dozen hits. We really can’t put into words just how much you, the fans, have supported us along the way. Without that support, we would have never achieved what we have, and for that, we’re eternally grateful,” they added.
Another news that also adds to my excitement is that the former boy band
Westlife member and songwriter Brian McFadden has been announced as special
guest performer in the upcoming last show
on 14th June 2019 at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam.
McFadden started his singing career as a member of Westlife, which was formed in 1998 and released the
debut studio album “Westlife” in 1999. He left Westlife in
2004 to begin his solo career and released the single “Real to Me,” a track in
his debut solo album “Irish Son.” In 2016, McFadden and
Boyzone’s Keith Duffy formed the group Boyzlife and toured the world,
performing their bands’ hits.
Excited is not even the right word to describe my feeling about this upcoming concert by one of my favourite boy band. I better start checking those tickets now - dive right into AirAsia Red Tix
Pssst. I was told that the first 200 VIP ticket purchasers are entitled to take a group photo with Boyzone! You better get your tickets now!
