Restoran Sisik Ikan Bakar: Where The Seafood is Fresh and The Food is Appetizing | Last week, I went to Bandar Botanic, Klang to quench my cravings for seafood.
What Rawlins? You went all the way from Bangi to Klang to eat seafood?

Yes, I did. It has to be very special that I was willing to travel all the way for seafood. 
Located just beside the GM Klang, you will never miss this spacious restaurant that is located the corner of the shop lots.
Operating from as early as 8 am until 4:30 pm, Restoran Sisik Ikan Bakar serves all traditional Malay and local food to its patrons. The owner is of Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Selangor descendant and she has successfully incorporated the unique taste from each state into her dishes. 
From 5 pm until 12:30 am, the restaurant serves all the fresh seafood-based dishes - from steamed up to grilled  - IKAN BAKAR! Woot woot!

FUN FACT Formerly known as Restoran Warisan Tok Sisik, the restaurant was established in 2013 and later changed its name to Restoran Sisik Ikan Bakar has two operational hours. 8 am until 4:30 pm for Malay dishes and 5 pm until 12:30 am for all food based on fresh seafood.

The other reason why I came here was for a mini-reunion - but the primary reason was for food - FRESH SEAFOOD! Hahaha. Without wasting time, the group just started ordering whatever they thought of having - especially the special ones that were available on the menu. 
Then we moved to the fresh seafood counter to pick our fresh ingredients. Having Mahamahu for this kind of chore certainly helps - he knows his way around fresh seafood and he certainly knows his fishes. Thanks Mahamahu!

When the food first arrived, we thought 'Oh my. Can we finish all these? We don't want to waste.'

But no food was wasted as we literally licked everything clean - up to the fish's bones.
That's the testament that the food are really delicious.

And this is my ultimate favourite - Nasi Lemak Buluh Perindu with its choices of lauk.

Now, I am thinking about having the Nasi Lemak Buluh Perindu again - RINDU!

My Review of Restoran Sisik Ikan Bakar

The Food: 4.7/ 5.0 There are some that I've marked "I recommend this" as per pictures above and some are not. Those are my preferences as I only eat fishes and not so into prawns and any other seafood with shells. But as I've mentioned, everything was licked clean by my tablemates so that's the proof that everything was YUMMY!

The Price: 4.3/5.0 The price is considerably affordable and the portion is quite large. 

The Cafe: 4.7/ 5.0 You do not have to worry about parking-issue if you are there for the seafood segment as the parking spaces are abundant. But I think for Malay dishes (8 am - 4:30 pm) especially during lunch, there might be a slight problem as it is very near to GM Klang and other buildings. 

The cafe is spacious and clean, with free wi-fi (for the young ones).
