Modello Makes Job Hunting More Fun and Efficient

Growing up, I saw a few trends in job-searching - first, there was the old fashion way of posting the resume via snail mail, then there were job portals online and now, jobs everywhere - on social media even. And the Millenials are having a field day as they get to get jobs and start earning just by posting something online - a dream job that everyone wants.
The reality is - not all of these jobs are as lucrative as it looks. And that's not mentioning the occupational hazards that comes with the job - the ridiculously low pay for a huge-specification job, an impossible deadline, the super late payment and the absurd demands from the clients. 
As a blogger myself (albeit only doing this part-timely), I find it is getting harder to propose for jobs that pays accordingly - more even that more influencers are getting the huge chunk of the online jobs nowadays. But all is fair and square in getting the jobs - the clients have the final say in appointing the person of their choice.

Not to be disheartened with the situation, I am constantly in the look for more revenues to expand my social portfolio and then I stumbled upon Modello. It seems that the playing field will be even for all via Modello - everyone can apply for any job here and the brand/ client will choose the ones that check all the boxes, without any prejudice/ favoritism.  Even parents can register their babies for any TVC. And there is no age limit. All one has to do is download the Modello App via App Store/ Google Play, register and insert the details and one can start applying for a job immediately! Super easy right? It took me not even 5 minutes to set up my profile and uploading the profile pix. I bet you'll be faster than me in setting up your profile.
So, what kind of information does Modello needs? Well, Modello doesn't need any fancy information - just a basic background of yourself and the best profile picture of yourself. This so your Profile Card will look presentable at the end of the registration.

Once you're done with all your information, save everything and you are good to go.

Here are some of the jobs currently available on Modello. As you can see, the pay is quite high and it goes directly into your account, without having to go through a middle person (PR/ friend/ etc). 

The sub-letting a job tradition that we have had all these years is the reason why the pay is quite low. A gives the job to B with RM300 pay, B start sub-looking for C, C will sub-looking for D. Of course, B and C will be deducting a certain amount as a management fee, which resulting in D only receives a small amount of pay (might be RM200 or less). I am not saying all are doing these, but this is a common situation.

Here, with Modello, the client will go directly to Modello to advertise for a job with its requirement and salary amount. Modello will only charge a small amount of management fee to the client, not to the talent. Meaning, as described in the situation above, the talent will be getting RM300, not RM200 or less.

Just to be sure, I asked Modello 'What if the talent is selected and has travelled to the event venue, only to be told that the event is cancelled? Or in the worst-case scenario, the talent was asked to do more than the job description entailed? Will he/ she be compensated for his/ her effort and can he/ she declined a job that asks for more than what's written in the job description?'

Modello answers 'As Modello will be doing a thorough background check of the client to ensure its authenticity and track record, it is the hope of Modello that all clients will keep their end of the bargain. If the event is cancelled without well prior notification to either Modello or the talent, the talent will be compensated for his/ her effort - that's inclusive of transportation if he/ she was required to travel. The client will be penalised. And if the client asked for more than what's the job has entailed in the ads, the talent has the right to reject the offer and lodge a report to Modello. After which, Modello will conduct an investigation and will act accordingly afterwards.'

And as Modello has its own vast workforce - up until a 'firefighter' manager who will handle all problems as fast as she can possibly be handling it, with very small percent/ amount of 'casualties' too. Casualties here refers to a last-minute cancellation/ back-off/ emergency cases and the event needs a talent pronto. The Manager will replace the 'casualty' with talent on the waiting list - that's how extensive the Modello list is

My Honest Opinion on Modello

In my personal and honest opinion, if maintained properly and Modello maintains its transparency in its management, Modello will be able to secure and give jobs to lots of people. I would say that Modello will become the best job provider to the Millenials as they love to work independently and without attachment.
