Truly Asia Malaysian Ramadhan Buffet Awaits @ Sime Darby Convention Centre [2020 Ramadhan Buffet]| I have fallen in love with Sime Darby Convention Centre's dishes ever since I was first introduced to the menu there. And I have been finding any reason just to go there and eat the delicious cuisines.

Ramadhan is almost here and that is just another reason for me to bring my friends there to once again taste the tasty cuisines.
With its theme 'Truly Asia Malaysian Ramadhan Buffet 2020' (befitting Visit Malaysia Year 2020), Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) promises to bring all the Asian's palette to the table this year.

Starting from 24 April to 21 May 2020, SDCC will tease our palettes with a variety of Malaysian favorite traditional cuisines such as (among so many):

• Kari kepala Ikan Salmon
• Sotong Berlado Petai
• Bubur Lambuk
• Tapai Pulut Daun getah
• Sago Gula Melaka
• Roti Jala Pandan

And there will also be 20 Live Stalls with international cuisines that will be available for all to taste:

• Signature dish: Masakan Kawah (Asam pedas ekor keladi & bendi, kari kepala ikan salmon dengan mangga muda)
• Japanese section: Teppanyaki (Chicken, beef & lamb)
• Korea section: Sizzler Hot Plate (Squid, fish fillet, clam, prawn, mussel)
• Hong Kong section: Deep Fried (deep fried shimeji mushroom, button mushroom & oyster mushroom)
• Middle East section: Roasted Whole Lamb (black pepper sauce, mushroom sauce, Arabic sald and Arab bread).

Here are some of the Asia's main dishes that will tempt all our palettes:

• Chicken adobo (Philippines)
• Stir-fried beef with Szechuan black pepper sauce (China)
• Perut masak kalio dengan rebung (Indonesia)
• Prawn with salted egg (Singapore)
• Stir-fried squid with spicy sauce (Vietnam)
• Ikan patin masak tempoyak
• Wok-fried baby kailan with shrimp paste

Apart from all these cuisines, there will be special dishes that will be served every Friday and Saturday, namely Lebanese Venison Stew, Lemon Saffron Rice, Vietnamese Chicken Roll with condiment and sauce, Nasi Kambing Bukhara and Boloi Thai dessert.

Salivating much peeps? I know I am, especially after seeing the dim sums and all those Asia's cuisines. Talking about dim sums, China Treasures Ramadhan Indulgence offers All-You-Can-Eat ala minute hot steaming dim sums - YES! You'll see me here throughout the night - I am a dim sum lover!

As breaking fast is better spent with families and loved ones, it will be costly to attend the event with no strategy planned.

As such, early-bird vouchers are up for sale at RM69 nett per person goes on sale from 24 January to 29 February 2020, RM79 nett in March and RM89 nett from 1 April until 23 April 2020 (np: RM99++ per person). You wanna save your $$$, better start buying those early bird vouchers from now! Children aged between 6 - 12 years old and senior citizens aged 60 and above pay only RM69 nett per person whereas children aged 5 years can dine -in for free.

This  year, the early D'Atap Gazebo steamboat offers diners 100 types of All-You-Can-Eat items at only RM39 nett per person. The promotion starts from 24 January to 23 April 2020 (np: RM50 ++ per person). Whereas children (6 - 12 years old) and senior citizens (60 years and above) only pay RM35 and those below 5 years old dine-in for free. 

If you feel like being catered to in private rooms and not making your way through waves of patrons, why don't have the food cater to you and your entourage in a private room? SDCC has special banquet event packages for Iftar in private function rooms that are priced at RM69++ per person for a minimum of 1000 persons. Outside Catering services are also available at RM69++ per person. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
