Good Food, Great Time @ Restoran Sana Sini | I think everyone can relate to this dilemma 'Where to eat ah?' to which most of us Malaysians will answer 'Anywhere also can. Anything also can' - which certainly does not makes the decision making any easier. Especially when you are eating out with a large number of friends - Aisyah doesn't like eating at Mamak's, Cynthia only eats salad and Pavi doesn't eat meat.
The person that is making the decision must feel like he/ she is making a life/ death decision.
That was exactly the situation that I felt last weekend when a bunch of friends wanted to gather after MCO. Where to eat, what to eat, and please make sure the place is huge enough to accommodate us (and they are ok with a bunch of noise-maker people hahaha).
And walla - we found Restoran Sana Sini at Dpulze Shopping Center in Cyberjaya. Restoran Sana Sini ticks all the requirements and many more.
Located at the Lower Ground Floor of Dpulze Shopping Center, it being at the corner lot means a whole lot extra room for the seatings. After having our body temperature taken and signed in, we went straight to our tables, in the middle of the vast restaurant.
The restaurant is brightly lit and the decoration is minimal with bright colored food posters on its walls. I love it. The minimal and creative idea of stacking the large biscuit cans together in the cashier area and using tampi on the walls was genius. Not too much but just a nice touch of creativity to elevate the deco.
Then I saw posters stating 'Free Popcorn' and 'Free Ice cream' at one of the walls. Wow. This will certainly calm the kids. Wait. There's also a playground area on the far side of the restaurant. This is very thoughtful of the owner - the parents could enjoy their food and their kids could enjoy themselves with ice cream and popcorn atthe playground.
So, we were seated and given the menu. It took us quite a while to choose as the choices were aplenty and we don't want to double-book a dish - we want everyone to choose a different menu from one another so that we could share the dishes later. Haha. (who else loves doing this when going out with friends?)
Not so long after, the food arrived and the two long tables were full with our dishes. The portion is huge guys!
Amazingly, we managed to finish all the dishes while sharing our MCO stories with one another. Looking back at all the dishes, I am salivating haha - did it happened to you too just now?
Based on the names of the dishes above, I bet you noticed that the dishes are prepared Chinese style. To be exact, the dishes are inspired by the flavours of Hong Kong but revamped and fused with local taste. Just the way I like it - Malaysian Chinese style. Hehe.
And this one worth a special mention - the drink is in JUMBO size guys.
My Review of Restoran Sana Sini
Space: Spacious and brightly lit
Service: Fast and with smiles. The kind waiters even offered to assist us with picture-taking.
Price: Worth it. Affordable
Food portion: Large (two could share a dish but am a good eater, so I finished mine alone hahaha)
Menu: Chinese & Malaysian fusion
Taste: 5 Stars
Location: LG 01, Dpulze Shopping Centre, Persiaran Multimedia, Cyber 12, Cyberjaya
And I love that they have social media accounts too (who doesn't nowadays right, hahaha). I had followed the social media accounts so that I would be the first to know their latest menu and promotions. You should do the same too.
