5 Reasons to Staycation @ The 5 Elements Hotel, Kuala Lumpur | Who here doesn't need a vacation from all these global drama, I truly admire you! After the MCO way back in the first half of 2020, we Malaysians had more versions of MCO that I truly lost count of the MCOs.
So, once the inter-state travel ban was lifted, I forced my friends to join me for a staycation - somewhere nearby and apparently, always taken for granted. So, we booked ourselves rooms at The 5 Elements Hotel, situated just beside the famous Petaling Street.
But why The 5 Elements Hotel you ask?
Here are the 5 reasons to stay at The 5 Elements Hotel for a staycation. And I bet you could list more.
1) The SOPs is in place
As they should be, too. As The 5 Elements Hotel mentioned in their instagram post, their customers' well-being is their prime concern. I saw posters reminding us to social-distance ourselves, putting on masks and always sanitise, all the way from the parking lot up into my room!
Putting up poster is one thing. The staff actually went out of their ways to always assure us to always adhere to SOPs. Hand sanitisers are available almost at every turn and the staff are 'armed' with the plastic visors. I certainly felt assured while staying there.
2) Comfy Rooms with Complete Amenities
When I travel, the first thing that I will try will be the bed and the pillows! And then I will walk around the room to see if they have all the amenities - the mugs, the electric kettle, a complete bath set and all. And The 5 Elements Hotel has it all!
Albeit that I stayed there for a night, it was a sound and relaxing night for me.
Types of room available here? There are Single Room, Superior Twin, Deluxe Queen, Deluxe Theme Room, Family Interconnecting Room, Water Suite, Fire Suite, Wood Suite and Metal Suite.
3) Lots of Places of Interest
Come on now. To be staying in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, you'll find that you don't have the time to finish visiting all the places of interests that are nearby. May it be of walking distance or via public transports and grabcar.
The hotel itself is situated just beside the famous Petaling Street, a bustling street with interesting and rare items on sale. If you are lucky, you'll find a very cheap Hermes here too. Haha.
Walk a bit further up and you'll arrive at Pasar Seni, a beautiful small mall that houses and sales different kinds of local products, from exotic looking keychains to the beautiful handmade batik and sarong.
Just beside it, you'll be amazed with the colourful and beautifully lit River of Life (it lights up at night - so don't go looking for the lights during daytime, ok).
If you are the shopping kind, take a grabcar to the ever-bustling Pavilion or Lot 10, the well-known malls just around 10 minutes ride from the hotel.
Is it easy to find food? You'll find everything here - Chinese food, Malay food, Indian food, Indonesian food, all kind of fusion food - just name it, you'll find it around the hotel area.
It is easy to say - you'll be spoilt for choices here.

4) Quality Service
Thank you for all the assistance from all the staff here - from the parking attendant up to the manager. They greeted us and assisted us with smile.
There's an accident where Mahamahu can't get his card to open the door and they assisted without a qualm. Truly a Malaysian Hospitality.
5) A home away from home
The best and most safe place to be during these trying times will be your own home. And I feel almost as safe when I stayed here - with all the warm services, the comfortable room and of course, the SOPs in place.
If there are cats here, I will certainly feel at my own home. Haha. Just look at how at home we were in the picture.
