A Perfect Murder [Movie Review] | The movie  was suggested to me by a mutual friend on Facebook. 'It was a great movie' he mentioned. Naturally, I searched for the movie and watched it.

The movie starts with Emily enjoying herself with her secret affair, David Shaw, a painter. Later, when she comes home, her much older husband, Steven was waiting for her and intends to bring her to a gala.

At the gala, Steven meets with David and requests to visit David's studio. He visits the next day and reveals that he knows about his wide's affair with him and the fact that David is a con artist that lives off of rich women. 

David was about to defend himself when suddenly Steven offers him $500,00 yo kill Emily. Dumbfounded by the offer, he finally takes Steven's offer when Steven threats to report him to the police. 

Everything goes as planned. Emily comes home and Steven goes to his routine card game. While enjoying her bath, she hears the phone rings and when she comes out, she was attacked by a masked assailant, whom she killed with a meat thermometer during the struggle. 

Steven was shocked to see Emily crying in the bedroom and find a bloody killer body in the kitchen.  He quickly retrieves a key from the dead assailant before opens the door for the police whom Emily called earlier. When the police opens the mask, Detective Karaman, the police on duty, notices a surprise look on Steven's face. 

The killer was not David. 

Meanwhile, David watches outside as the dead body being removed from the building, assuming it to be Emily. It was not until Emily was sent to her mother's and call David from the house that David realises that Emily is still alive. 

Then the extortion starts. David starts to extort Steven with evidences about him planning to kill his wife. 

Emily confides to her mother and best friend, Raquel that she is leaving Steven. 

Why is Steven planning to kill his wife, if not for jealousy?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.4/ 5.0 Nicely written and laid out. It was not until the middle of the movie that I learnt the motive behind the plan. 

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 Oh my word. Gwyneth and Michael were spectacular! 

Will I watch it again: It was good, that was why I watched the movie after a friend recommended the movie. I don't mind watching it again.
