I Wanna Travel Again

I Wanna Travel Again | We have been in our own 'cocoon' for over a year now, believe it or not, no thanks to the global pandemic Covid-19. 

In Malaysia, we have had so many Movement Control Orders that I have lost track of which alphabet that we are using at the moment. But alhamdulilah, we are now allowed to travel within our own state, so some of us managed to get a little staycation wherever that we could. And it seems that we will all be vaccinated soon, hopefully within the year. 

I can't wait to get vaccinated so that I can travel again. I wanna go back and visit my family in Sarawak. Then I wanna travel the world again - be it be for work or leisure.

My very first country to visit? I would love to visit Singapore again and enjoy the Universal Studios. I wanna scream my head off during the scary rides and let myself go silly all around the park, like I am a little kid once again. 

Accommodation? No worries. I am a Traveloka-die-hard fan so I will just let Traveloka do all the worry for me. I will let it choose my hotel for me as I have had pleasant experiences with Traveloka before. I used it for my travels to Thailand and Siem Reap and I was happy for the savings that I managed to get while looking for a decent hotel for my stay. If it were up to me, I would have stayed at a expensive lodging but luckily the apps assisted to find the decent and very affordable lodgings during my stays. 

As for my upcoming Singapore trip (hopefully very soon), I will just let the apps search for hotel in Singapore and voíla - the list of hotels in Singapore will appear. Then you can set the parameters - the price range, the review, the stars and many more to your budget. 

Scrolling the list, I came upon Capella Singapore. What a very handsome and lavish luxury hotel. With an excellent rating of 9.2 and such beautiful sceneries surrounding the hotel, I feel like I deserve a stay in this hotel.

I just need to unwind and I think Capella Singapore will do just that for me. I think to indulge in luxury once in a while is healthy, is it not?

If we are allowed to travel soon, I think it will be grand if I were to bring my family members too. I think everyone needs a break from all these global pandemic drama, don't you think so?

But why Singapore, Rawlins?

I remembered visiting Singapore in 2019, during my birthday. I was there twice before that, but was on business so I did not get to enjoy Singapore as much as I wanted too. In 2019, I won a one-day trip in a contest so yet again, I did not managed to enjoy Singapore. But based on those trips, I know for a fact that there's a lot more to discover. 

And yes, I want to ride rides in Universal Studios and to scream on the top of my lungs, just to release everything that I have been keeping inside of me - all the troubles, stress and heartache. 

And I want to try all the dishes in Singapore too. Your trip to Singapore does not count if you haven't tasted Murtabak Zam Zam, tauhu goreng Wedang, Golden Mile Special Yong Tau Fu B1-44 and a few others that I will not be able to write here without me salivating over the thoughts of it (it's puasa hahaha). 

So, which country you want to visit once the world's border is open for travellers? Let me know ok.
