'Ayam Sedap Baq Hang' Is Truly Delicious and Flavorful | Whenever I feel like I'm missing my mum's cooking, I will always look around for the halal chinese dishes. And more often than not, I will always end up at The Chicken Rice Shop because my mum loves cooking steamed and roasted chicken. 

This Ramadan, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a brand new dish on the menu. Aptly named Áyam Sedap Baq Hang', the chicken was certainly delicious and flavorful. 

'Sedap Baq Hang' is a northern slang for 'truly delicious' and the chicken is certainly truly delicious. Seasoned generously with a unique blend of different spices, TCRS’ ‘Ayam Sedap Baq Hang’ is grilled to perfection, then coated in a secret sauce and lastly, topped with curry leaves and dried chillies. 

As the waitress brought in the sets, I was immediately salivating at the aroma that came from the chicken. The perfect combination of the curry leaves and chillies give out tempting aroma that made me wanted to dig in right away. Luckily, it was not time for breaking fast just yet. 

When I first sank my teeth into the chicken, that mild spiciness hit me first. I kept going and my friend and I finished the plate of Áyam Sedap Baq Hang' in no time. 

It was funny as we first thought we wouldn't be able to finish the set and might bring some home for sahur, but we ended up cleared the whole set.

And that Dino Choco Malt just hits the right spot, it calms the thirst after the whole day of fasting. The rich choco taste complements the chicken dish quite nicely and completes and fulfills my tummy just nice. At first I thought that I would want to add some side dishes with the set, but I was happy that I didn't. 

Since TCRS is naming this dish in the Northern style, now I am looking forward for them to name a dish in Sarawak and Sabah's slang next.
