Lou [Movie Review] | I watched this one with my friend Jae while I was spending time with him in his ward room last weekend. 

And I kinda liked it too.

Hannah is playing hide and seek with Vee, her daughter when her loner landlady, Lou stops by and reminds her that the rent is due the day after. Lou then drives to town to buy supplies where she runs into the sheriff, who tells her that a copper bracelet would help with her arthritis. 

Meanwhile, Chris, a fellow villager, shows interest in getting to know Hannah since her husband is no longer around. He offers to buy supplies for Hannah as a huge storm is coming. On his way, he picks up a hitchhiker, who later kills him. 

That night, the storm hits and when the electricity to her home is cut, Hannah thinks that the storm causes it. She goes out to check the electricity box only to find Chris' van beside it and Chris' lifeless body inside it. She immediately knows something bad is happening to Vee.

Meanwhile, Philip, Hannah's husband manages to get into the home and kidnap Vee. Hannah quickly runs to Lou's home, interrupting Lou who is about to shoot herself in the help. Hannah seeks Lou's help to run after Philip and Vee. And they have to find them both on foot as Lou's car was blown to bits by a bomb set by Philip. 

Along the way, Hannah tells Lou that Philip is a special forces soldier and a criminal who was supposed to be dead. Lou finds a hideout where she kills two of Philip's friends there. Then she tells Hannah that she is an ex-CIA.

When finally Lou and Hannah manages to track Philip, Lou goes to confront Philip while Hannah calls for help.

And it seems that Philip and Lou goes way beyond time and blood.

What is the connection of Lou and Philip? And why is Philip kidnapping his own daughter?

 

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.3/ 5.0 The plot is kinda expected but the twist is the why. And there is another twist at the end of the movie.

Cast: 4.4/ 5.0 Everyone did a great job. The kid is pretty good too.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I don't mind watching it again.
