Ticket to Paradise [Movie Review] | Marriage is a gamble, would you agree? If you have good hands, then you're good. But when the cards are bad, you'll have to make do with what you have in hands.

So, when I read the synopsis of the movie with Julia Roberts and George Clooney smiling at me, I was immediately taken.

David and Georgia are reminiscing the days of the proposal - how sweet it was and all. But their marriage didn't last and they have been hating each other ever since. But one thing they both agree - they love their daughter, Lily, very much.

After graduated, Lily and her friend, Wren goes to Bali for vacation. After that vacation, Lily will be working with a prestigious law firm. 

While snorkeling at Bali, the duo were rescued by Gede, a Balinese seaweed farmer when they were left behind by their boat. 

37 days later, both David and Georgia receives the news of their lives when Lily email them telling that she has met the man of her life and they are going to get married and she will be staying for good in Bali, with her future husband. 

The parents, both determined to break the relationship as they want Lily to pursue her career first, fly to Bali to do just that. The pilot of the airplane is Paul, Georgia's young boyfriend.

Although they said they blesses the marriage, both David and Georgia are planning to sabotage the wedding from within. They plan stories about a failed marriage, take away the wedding rings and a few other plans. 

But along the plan, both David and Georgia are starting to see the good side of each other.

Will they plan work? And, will they work their relationship out too? Will there be a marriage even?

 

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 The plot is very straight-forward. Girl meet boy and fall in love. Parents do not approve and try to break the love. The plot here is that the parents are hating each other but they combine forces to break the love.

Cast: 4.7/ 5.0 What not to love about these two great actors? And the others also elevated their game and all is great!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I don't mind watching it again.
