Tyler and Margot are waiting for a boat to take them to Hawthorne, an exclusive restaurant owned and operated by celebrity chef, Julian Slowik. With them on the boat are more wealthy people and famous people.

Elsa, the restaurant captain greets them at the harbor of the private island. Elsa notes that Tyler has bring along Margot, who is not his original guest for the evening.

Elsa brings them on a walk - seeing the natural way of all the ingredients of the menu being grown and harvested, ensuring the highest quality for the private dining experience.

At the restaurant, Tyler and the rest of the guests are excited of the experience but Margot is not. She thinks the food presentation is too ritualistic and rigid. This somehow enrages the chef - who keeps on questioning Margot's personal information to which Margot refuses to share in depth.

The first two dishes were quite fine. But the third course, named 'Memories' served as chicken thigh with scissors stuck in the meat, along with tortilla that is laser-engraved with the guests' misdeeds. The guests start to feel uncomfortable and start questioning the chef, to which the chef pay no mind.

The fourth dish named 'The Mess' turns everything sour. Jeremy, the sous-chef, is call to the front to share his dream with the guests. His dream was to become as good as Chef Slowik, but he no longer feels happy in pursuing his dream. He then shoots himself in front of the guests, leaving the guests terrified, but Chef Slowik and his cooks and assistants feel nothing about and continue to prepare the dishes. One of the guests, Richard tries to leave the restaurant and Elsa orders a staff member to cut off his left ring finger. At this point, Richard's wife seems to notice about Margot and Richard.

Explaining that Jeremy's death is all part of 'the menu', he further shares that the guests were all chosen as they were all related to his frustration towards his craft, in one way or another. And everyone will pay dearly for that frustration - with their lives.

Can the guests get out of the restaurant alive?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.9/ 5.0 OH MY GUCCI! I was gripping my seat or covering my eyes, at some points throughout the movie as it was so intense.

The movie tells about things people do to share their disappointment and mental health is true. Not all smiles are happiness.

Cast: 4.9/ 5.0 BRAVA!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I want to watch it again.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
