Boston Strangler [Movie Review] | I came across the movie while browsing Hulu. As it is inspired by a true event, I immediately watched it.

• In the lyrics of Midnight Rambler by the Rolling Stones, the Boston Strangler is mentioned once. The song is loosely inspired by it.  
• Loretta became an award-winning reporter at The Boston Globe whereas Jean continued as a reporter for 30 years. 
• Marsh was never charged with the murder. 
• DeSalvo was linked to the 13th murder in 2013 via DNA evidence, but not the other 12. 

The movie's background is Boston in 1960s. Loretta is bored with her current assignment, ladies and fashion desk. She wants something exciting and meaningful at the Boston Record American newspaper. 

When she learns that three elderly women were killed in Boston and not much coverage is being done over it, she requested to do a piece on the killing, in her own time. After visiting the crime venues and asking around the neighbourhoods, she confirms that all victims had stockings around their necks in a bow, a potential clue that the killer is the same person and Boston has a serial killer on the loose. Her boss allows her story to print, to which the police department is not happy about. 

When the fourth killing happens, Loretta join forces with Jean with the investigation. The duo faces sexism while investigating, Loretta's family is harassed and their marriages were tested. 

The seventh victim seems a bit odd as the victim is a young woman. And pregnant. Loretta discovers that the victim was having an affair with her married boss. This could be a motive, and might not be done by the serial killer. 

Later, the duo found out that Boston PD is not sharing information with other cities as similar cities such as New York also reports the same women-killing cases. 

Digging deeper into the case, Loretta found out there are more cases that are identical to Boston Strangler's work in other cities. 

How could it be - multiple cases in different cities, each victim killed in a slightly different way but almost identical MO? 

Will the duo uncovers the real identity of the Boston Strangler?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.7/ 5.0 The movie shows how the duo fight against sexism in 1960s to get ahead. I love that. 

The plot twist would be around the killer (or could it be killers?)

Cast: 4.7/ 5.0 Amazing performances by the cast. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would.
