Blue Beetle [Movie Review] | I think the promo for Blue Beetle is not as extensive and wide as other heroes. Maybe. 

But as a person that watched the series before, of course watching this one is a must for me.

• The film have significantly Spanish dialogue with subtitles for English-speaking audiences. 
• Sharon Stone was set to play Victoria but dropped out. Susan Sarandon came and she owned the character.
• This is the 14th film in the DC Extended Universe. 

Jaime Reyes just graduated college and his family was happy cause he is the very first of the members to have graduated college. His happiness soon dampened when he learns that his family is quite a ditch - the home rent has just tripled, the auto shop that his family own is now closed and his father is a recuperating heart attack patient. 

Now he has to find a job and fast to help his family to stand back on their own feet. When Victoria Kord fires him for intruding a family arguement (also cause his sister uses the family bathroom when they were supposed to be cleaning the house), Jenny Kord offers him a new job at their other offices. 

Victoria is keen to expand the company to weaponry supply but Jenny against the idea. 

The very next day, Jenny breaks into the lab where Victoria keeps the scarab. The scarab is supposed to enhance the current weapon that Victoria is producing. 

Jaime who is at the office, waiting for the job that Jenny promises, runs into Jenny and was told to bring the meal box with the scarab inside it. Jaime, unknowingly an accomplice to the theft, brings the scarab back to his house, without even looking to the box as reminded by Jenny. 

His family forces him to look inside the box and when he touches the scarab, somehow he activates the scarab. The scarab then merges with him symbiotically and shows him the capability of the scarab. 

Jaime is now the Blue Beetle.

But the scarab is also known as the world destroyer, as it always wants to settle issues with violence and destruction. The only problem is Jaime, the host is a peace-loving person. 

Victoria knows that Jaime has the scarab and intends to take it back, no matter what the cost is.

The only way to take the scarab back is by killing the host.

Can Victoria get the scarab back and expand her empire?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 The storyline is pretty much straight-forward. The character development kinda lengthy, but I guess it was necessary. 

Cast: 4.7/ 5.0 Beautiful performance by all - Nana included. 

Will I Review It Again: Yes, I would.
