Talk to Me [Movie Review] | This one movie is a movie that I have not watched the trailer or heard about its promotions anywhere else, until the last two weeks. And that got my interest to watch it.

• This is the first lead starring role for Sophie Wilde. 
• This is the debut of directing brothers Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou. They turned down a chance to direct an unknown DCEU film to direct this one. 

The movie starts Cole looking for his brother, Duckett, at a crowded house party. When he finds Duckett, injured and looking drunk, the partygoers start to record Duckett, to whom Cole tells them to not record Duckett. Duckett comes behind Cole and stabs him, before he fatally stabs himself in the eye. 

Mia is depressed as it is the second anniversary of her mother's death. Her distant relationship with her father does not help with her mental health. Jade and her family welcomes her and she finds solace with Jade's family - Riley the brother and her mother. 

That particular night, Jade and Mia goes out of the house, and Riley tags along. They were to meet with their friends. The main attraction during the gathering is an embalmed hand which can be used to conjure spirits. The steps are simple - light a candle, grasp the hand and says 'talk to me' which allows them to see a spirit. Next is to say 'I let you in' for a full possession, but has to stop within 90 seconds by blowing off the candle to close the door. 

Mia tries it and loves it. The scary and adrenaline-rushed sensation that she feels takes her mind off about her mother's death. The spirit that possesses her threatens Riley and resists letting go. The spirit lets go of Mia's hand at 93 seconds, well over the advised time limit. 

The next night, the group assembles again at Mia'a house and everyone present tries the hand. Riley wants in too, to which Jade strongly advise against. She storms out of the room when Mia allows Riley to play the game for 50 seconds only. 

The spirit that possess Riley is Rhea, Mia's mom. This makes Mia forgets about the time limit and stops everyone when the time limit is exceeded. Then the spirit overtaken Riley's body and brutally smashes his face and nearly takes out his own eyes, before Mia and Jade manages to stop him from doing so.

With Riley in hospital and Jade is not on speaking terms with her, Mia tries to contact her mother again, to ask whether her death is accidental, of natural cause or caused by her father. 

Meanwhile, Riley is still possessed and the spirit wants to end Riley's life. Luckily Jade was around to stop Riley from fatally hurting himself. 

Mia is now obsessed in talking to her mother, who tells her that her father causes her death and she needs to help Riley die. 

What will Mia do? Who will Mia believe?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 The plot is very true to current situations, where people will air everything they see without thinking of assisting people in need first. 

The story is very straight-forward and heavy in family education. And believe me, it is scary!

Cast: 4.9/ 5.0 Terrific and wonderful performance. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I don't mind watching it again.
