Walden [Movie Review] | I was out with stomach flu last week and spent my days in bed. So, I watched random new movies just to kill time.

When I read the tagline, it intrigued me enough to make me watch it.

Walden is a court stenographer, whose ultimate aim in life is to beat the world record for the fastest typist in the world. During the contest round, there's one particular lady that seems to be his close competitor.

But apparently, the lady is actually interested in knowing him better, which puzzles him as he is a nobody, just a normal and plain court stenographer. 

At his court, he records the court scenes day in, day out, where Judge Boyle presides the sessions. Most of the day, he sits in a courtroom and listens to the crimes of despicable people. Sometimes, those people manage to get away with it. Whether due to a technicality or lack of evidence, they are back out on the street where they can commit more crimes. 

And he always feels that there's something that God should do to those that got away, which becomes his constant prayers. 

After blacking out in the court and taken to the hospital, he was told that he has brain tumour. Although the severity is yet to be determined, the doctor advised to operate on it regardless. 

Walden feels that the tumour feels like a death sentence to him. 

Then he decides to dedicate his life to justice. Having realized that neither the courtroom nor the God he prays to every night is able to deliver this, he takes it upon himself.

He simply takes justice into his own hands – and he tends to let the punishment fit the crime.

Can a stenographer punishes criminals and will he able to get away with it?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.3/ 5.0 It was interesting at first. Then more twist and turmoils thrown into it that I became confused as to what is the focus of the movie.

Oh Walden it is. But there were too much side noises that were kinda equally crucial to the movie. 

But it is a good movie to watch, as nothing is always as it seems. 

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 A good cast. 

Will I Watch It Again: I probably will watch it again.
