Sheriff: Narko Integriti [Movie Review] | Hello everyone. How's your Raya so far? Hope all is well. I came across the trailer for the movie when I watched another movie the other day and it got me really intrigued to watch it. 

Is it any good?

As of yesterday, 18 April 2024, SHERIFF, has taken the Malaysian box office by storm, raking in over RM1 million during its sneak preview on April 17th. The film, which is a collaboration between Skop Productions and Astro Shaw, has already claimed the number one spot on the Top 10 GSC Malaysia chart, surpassing international releases. This success has set the stage for its official nationwide release, which is set to captivate audiences across the country.

Nazri is a member Narcotics Department and a brother to ASP Shazlin. The department is determined to tackle the escalating drug syndicate led by Tony Ifrit. The case is hard to settle as Tony always manages to evade the legal system. 

He takes the matter into his own hand and becomes the 'Meth Killer' to punish Tony's gang. Thus far, he has killed 9 of Tony's associates. After the victim dies, he'll clean them up, wrap them in plastic sheets, bring them to the next location and cover the body with syabu, waiting for the body to be discovered. His latest victim, ASP Malik creates a huge havoc as how could a high-ranked police officer is also involved in the drug syndicate?

Meanwhile, Sheriff, an officer from the Integrity Department, is assigned by the IGP to handle the 'Meth Killer' case and is tasked to work alongside Nazri under a unified department.

As the 'Meth Killer' kills more people associated to Tony, Sheriff seems to get a little closer to knowing Nazri's secret identity. But nothing that Sheriff does seem to break Nazri's facade.

When ASP Jennifer Wong alongside Sheriff concludes that the 'Meth Killer' is someone from the Narcotics Department itself, all eyes start going around, judging everyone. ASP Shazlin included, especially when a video of her with their late superior came up. 

Going deeper into the investigation, more secrets were revealed and it seems that the 'Meth Killer' might have killed the wrong victims in the past.

And when almost all their raids failed, Sheriff knows that there is a mole/ moles in the department itself.

Who is the mole/ are the moles? Will Sheriff capture the 'Meth Killer'?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.7/ 5.0 Whoa! That was reaction after I watched the movie. The plot was good - no wonder Syafiq Yusof is hailed as the 'King of Plot Twists' by Malaysian film enthusiasts. The plots were really good.

The movie is really clean and beautiful in action choreography too. The effects are superb - of course it is as it was fully done with astro Studios. 

Please keep producing great movies like this one, Syafiq!
