Bad Boys: Ride or Die [Movie Review] | I love the Bad Boys Series. So when this one hits the cinema, I make it a point to watch it, as I loved the previous one the most, so far.

Will this one tops the previous film?

• The movie was released just three months after filming, which is uncommon for major action films that typically require a year or more for post-production. 

• At 1 hr 55 min, this is the shortest Bad Boys film.

Mike is marrying his physical therapist, Christine. While partying after the ceremony, Marcus suffers a heart attack and goes into coma. While in his comatose state, he encounters their late captain who tells him that it is not his time yet. 

When he wakes up, he feels and believes that he is invisible. Not long after, both Mike and Marcus learns from the TV that their late captain was tied drug cartels and has millions in his account as a proof of his connection. 

Working along their current captain, Captain Rita and her boyfriend, mayoral candidate Adam Lockwood, the duo tries their best to prove that their late captain was framed. 

They found two pre-recorded videos by Howard directing them to the proof of his innocence. Their investigation leads them to Mike's son, Armando Aretas, imprisoned for Howard's murder. Armando insists Howard was not corrupt but was killed because he was close to exposing the real criminals. He offers to help identify the person responsible for Howard's murder.

As they transport Armando to Miami, McGrath, the mastermind of the whole Howard-framing scheme, sneaks on board, kills the pilot and guards, causing a helicopter crash and spreads words that Mike, Marcus and Armando hijacks the helicopter and kills the escort. Now fugitives, Mike, Marcus, and Armando are hunted by law enforcement and criminal gangs. 

With every single move they make, it seems that McGrath is always two steps ahead of them. 

Can the bad boys pin down the real bad guys and clear the name of their late captain and theirs?

MY REVIEW

What I Like: 

• The characters act according to their age - body ache, sickness etc. They did not pretend that they are younger. 

• The cast were great in delivering their roles. I even feel pity for Armando.

What I Don't Like:

• Because they are older, there seems to be a bit more talking than action.  

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I probably will.

Overall: 4.8/ 5.0
