Do You See What I See [Movie Review] | There has been a lot of Indonesian's horror movies of late. When I read that it was based on a popular podcast series and the trailer seems promising, I went ahead and watched it.

Mawar is celebrating her 20th birthday with her best friends, Vey and Kartika. She misses her sister, Melati who is studying at a different university and their long-gone parents. 

As her routine on her birthdays, she visits her parents' grave after the celebration. At the grave, she share her wish to have someone who is always by her side and cherishes her everyday. 

Vey and Kartika sense that Mawar is happier after the visit and quickly assumes that one of her wishes is answered. And it doesn't take long before they guessed that Mawar now has a boyfriend. They are happy that Mawar is now happy and no longer lonely. Mawar informs the two girls that her boyfriend's name is Restu and they will meet him soon. 

Ever since then, the entire dorm frequently experiences mystical and terrifying incidents. Realising that the horrific incidents happen right after Mawar met Restu, Vey starts to investigate Restu's background and the changes in Mawar's demeanour.

MY REVIEW

What I Like: 

• The character development helps to understand the movie plot. 
• The How, Why and What is answered sufficiently by the movie. 
• Cinematography is beautiful.

What I Don't Like:

• Some of the scenes were too dark.

Will I Watch It Again: I probably will, but not my fave go-to.

Overall: 4.4/ 5.0
