Set in the 1970s, the movie shows a group of Haenyeos (women divers that dives without equipment] who dives and collects seafood. Jin-sook always dives with her best friend, Chun-ja along with her father and brother.

As more factories being built along the beach, the sea bounty is not as lucrative as before. To make ends meet, Jin-sook's father agreed to join a smuggling business. Things start to look brighter - lives getting better and the girls start to enjoy life to the max.

One fateful day, as the group sails, their operation was stopped midway by the custom. Jun-sook's brother and father fell into the sea and died. The girls are captured except for Chun-ja. The girls spent two years in prison whereas Chun-ja moves to Seoul and starts her small-time smuggle hustle. Her Seoul operation catches the eyes of Sergeant Kwon, the national smuggler kingpin. They talked and both agreed to bring their operation to Chun-ja's hometown where it is much easier to intercept the passing tankers and get the smuggled goods from the sea.

Chun-ja's return to the village is not warmly welcomed as she was branded as the mole by the girls' group. But she has to convince the group if she was to have the smuggling operation happens there.

At first, Jin-sook wants nothing to do with Chun-ja. As life gets harder, she finally agrees to assist Chun-ja with her operation.

As the operation starts, a web of lies start to spin. Chun-ja smells a rat in her little stint and determines to unravel the truth about it.

Who can one trust in such a world?
