A rogue mercenary, Roland along with Krieg, a 'Psycho', kidnaps Tina, the daughter of Atlas, a powerful corporate figure on Pandora.

Atlas approaches Lilith, a bounty hunter to rescue his daughter. Lilith returns to Pandora, her home planet that she has left since small. Somehow, Claptrap, a robot manages to find her as it has been programmed to wait for her return and help her to track Tina.

When she finally finds Tina, she was almost blown to bits by Tina. And it seems that Roland and Krieg did not kidnap Tina, they were rescuing Tina from Atlas. But Atlas has also engaged his private army, the Crimson Lance to track Lilith and Tina. The Crimson Lance attacks Lilith's entourage. While running from the Crimson Lance, Lilith discovers a shocking truth: Tina was genetically engineered with material from the Eridians, an ancient race that once inhabited Pandora. Atlas believes that only Tina can open the Vault, a treasure trove of advanced Eridian technology.

To find the Vault key, Lilith contacts her former foster mother, Dr. Patricia Tannis. With Tannis’s guidance, the group ventures into an underground maze controlled by a tribe of Psychos and retrieves the key. Lilith, unwilling to continue aiding Atlas, destroys the device meant to signal Tina’s rescue. Atlas, angered, contacts her via drone, demanding Tina. Tina overhears the conversation, mistakenly believing Lilith has betrayed her, and knocks her unconscious.

When Lilith awakens, Claptrap accidentally plays a message from her mother, reigniting her determination. The next day, the group reaches the Vault, only to find Atlas waiting. When Tina tries to open the Vault and fails.

Can they open the Vault? What's inside it?
