Of course, I have to give this a go.

Terry is a passionate and ambitious young dancer who comes to New York City with big dreams of making it on Broadway. Her dream shatters when she suffers a serious injury, she twisted her ankles during a performance. A surgery was made, she is able to walk again but not able to dance hence land any dancing role.

Desperate and struggling with addiction to the painkiller she is on, Terry attends any audition just to land any role. During one of the auditions, she meets Alan Marchand who sees her potential and offers her a second chance at fame, at a price. She runs after him to his apartment building, where she falls sick and collapses. An elderly couple, Minnie and Roman, rescues her and brings her home. 

When she comes to, the couple talks to her and learns that she is a struggling dancer, eyeing for fame. They offers her an apartment room in the luxurious Bramford, the same building where Alan resides. Terry moves in and the couple treats her as if she is their daughter.

Her luck is turning. She is able to meet with Alan and have an evening drink with him. After that evening, she manages to land a role in a play where Alan is producing. 

However, the night she spends with Alan leaves her with blurred memories and a creeping sense of dread. Sshe starts to feel that something isn't quite right in the Bramford. Unexplained occurrences and disturbing visions begin to disrupt her life, and Terry can’t shake the feeling that her generous benefactors are hiding something sinister.

As Terry starts digging into the mysterious happenings around her, she uncovers troubling secrets about the building’s past and the true intentions of the people around her. As she grapples with her ambitions, Terry is caught between the life she’s always wanted and a haunting reality she can barely comprehend.

Which will she choose - her freedom or her fame?

MY REVIEW

What I Like:  

  • The movie is straight-forward and easy to watch.
  • The set and the cast are great - I HATE MINNIE. 

What I Don't Like:

  • Not too scary to my liking.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would.
