Patrick finds himself in a tough spot financially after his dream of building a high-tech tree trimmer fails. With no other option, he moves back to his childhood home, bringing along his wife, Karina, and their young son, Jake. Patrick starts working at his family's lumber yard under the watchful eye of his brother Liam, hoping to rebuild their lives.
Soon after settling in, eerie things begin to happen. Late at night, Patrick hears strange noises outside, and unsettling nightmares about Jake being taken away start haunting his sleep. As the days pass, flickering lights, an ominous-looking doll, and unexplained disturbances make Patrick feel like something sinister has crept into their lives. Though there’s no clear evidence, Patrick grows increasingly certain that something—or someone—is lurking, threatening his family’s safety, especially Jake’s.
It turns out Patrick may be right. When he was young, his father told him terrifying tales about Bagman, an ancient evil said to haunt an old, abandoned copper mine nearby. Bagman, according to legend, targets good children, rendering their parents helpless before snatching them away in his cursed bag, never to be seen again. While Patrick once brushed this off as a ghost story, he had his own terrifying brush with Bagman as a boy—a close call that he barely survived.
Now, decades later, Bagman has returned, and he’s set his sights on Patrick’s family. In a chilling prelude, another child goes missing, hinting that the creature is back in town. Patrick is thrown into a battle with old fears as he realizes he must confront this terrifying force head-on if he hopes to protect his son.
Can he break Bagman’s curse to save Jake, or will he fall victim to the same nightmare from his past?
