Ethan is a TSA officer at Los Angeles International Airport with dreams of becoming a police officer. His pregnant girlfriend, Nora, who works as the operations director for Northwind Airlines, encourages him to follow his ambition. Taking her advice, Ethan asks his boss, Phil Sarkowski, for a promotion and is put in charge of the X-ray machine as a trial run.

One day, Ethan is handed a seemingly lost earbud. Through it, a sinister voice—The Traveler—gives him an ultimatum: let a specific passenger, Mateo, and his bag pass through security, or Nora will be killed. Panicked, Ethan tries to call the police and discreetly warn his colleague, Lionel, by writing a message in invisible ink. However, the Traveler manipulates events, causing Lionel to suffer a fatal heart attack. Devastated, Ethan is forced to return to his post.

In a desperate bid to gain control, Ethan sabotages his co-worker, Jason, and begrudgingly lets Mateo and the Traveler’s carry-on bag pass. Later, the Traveler reveals the terrifying truth—the bag contains Novichok nerve agent, intended for use on a Northwind flight.

Meanwhile, LAPD Detective Elena Cole investigates an arson case linked to a wiretap about Novichok. When Ethan attempts to alert the authorities, the Traveler escalates his threats, pointing a sniper rifle at Nora.

Ethan devises a plan to include Mateo in a random security search, but the Traveler corners him in a bathroom and arms the Novichok, giving Ethan only ten minutes to stop it. Ethan confronts Phil and Mateo in the baggage area, learning Mateo is also being blackmailed because his husband, Jesse, is being held hostage. In a chaotic fight, Mateo kills Phil but is fatally injured when his own gun backfires.

The Traveler shifts his plan to target Congresswoman Grace Turner, who is on a flight to Washington and intended to be a scapegoat in a political conspiracy.

Can Ethan stops The Traveler?
