Deep in an underground lab, Gary and Steve orchestrate a grim ritual as humanity's fate depends on that ritual. Japan’s flawless record has faltered, leaving only the American team to complete the task. Failure means doom to the world.
Meanwhile, five college friends—Dana, Jules, Curt, Holden, and Marty—embark on a carefree weekend at a secluded cabin. Unbeknownst to them, the lab crew manipulates their every move, using chemicals to cloud their judgment. In the cabin’s cellar, the group discovers eerie relics. Each relic will open the door of horror and dictate their demise. Dana reads from an old diary, unwittingly summoning a family of zombie killers, the Buckners.
The terror begins. Jules is slaughtered, Curt narrowly escapes and Marty uncovers surveillance cameras before being dragged away. With Japan’s ritual failing, the American site becomes the last line of defense. Curt’s desperate motorcycle leap ends in tragedy when he crashes into an invisible force field. Holden and Dana flee, but Holden is killed, and their RV plunges into a lake. Dana surfaces, battered and alone.
The lab celebrates prematurely. Marty, alive and defiant, rescues Dana, and together they uncover the lab’s secret: the monsters from every age and type, their tormentors, and the truth about the sacrifices. The artifacts in the cellar dictate which horrors are unleashed. Cornered, they release the creatures, causing chaos and bloodshed.
What with the monsters and all the killings?
MY REVIEW
What I Like:
- I love the plot - simple.
What I Don't Like:
- I wish more monsters were released and had longer screen time.
- However, I think I have watched movies with similar plots.
Will I Watch It Again: I don't mind watching it again.
Overall: 4.2/ 5.0
