- Jon’s baseball team faces the Midvale Spartans—a nod to classic comics where Midvale housed the orphanage where Superman hid Kara, aka Supergirl.

As Krypton faces destruction, Jor-El and Lara send their infant son, Kal-El, to Earth. Unbeknownst to them, an alien parasite, Starro, escapes its containment and clings to the ship but falls off before reaching Earth. The ship lands in Kansas, where Kal-El is raised as Clark Kent. Discovering his powers, he becomes Superman, marries Lois Lane, and they have a son, Jonathon or Jon.
Years later, Jon struggles with his father’s constant absences, unaware Clark is Superman. Meanwhile, the Justice League Watchtower is struck by debris. Investigating, Green Arrow is attacked by an unknown creature. The next day, Jon’s heat vision manifests. Clark reveals his secret and takes him to Gotham, seeking Batman’s advice on when the rest of Jon’s powers might emerge. Jon meets Damian Wayne, aka Robin, who is less than welcoming.

Batman, suspicious about the Watchtower, investigates with Superman, only to be infected by Starro-controlled Martian Manhunter. Back at the Batcave, a possessed Batman nearly infects Damian, but the young assassin outsmarts him. Overhearing Starro’s plan to infect Jon next, Damian rushes to Smallville. The two escape an infected Lois, with Jon’s heat vision freeing her from Starro’s control. Seeking answers, they travel to the Fortress of Solitude, where Jor-El’s hologram explains Starro’s hive-mind. They realize the original Starro must be on the Watchtower.
Jon and Damian use Kal-El’s old ship to reach the Watchtower, only to be captured by possessed heroes. Starro reveals his plan to enslave Earth. Jon’s invulnerability kicks in when he shields Damian from an arrow, and together they subdue their attackers. Lois, contacting them from Lex Luthor’s office, reveals Starro’s weakness to heat. However, Starro has grown stronger, making Jon’s heat vision ineffective.
Can they save the world and their fathers from Starro?
