Ne Zha and Ao Bing, struck by heavenly lightning, lose their physical forms. To save them, Master Taiyi Zhenren sacrifices his Seven-Colored Sacred Lotus, reviving them, but their bodies remain fragile. Meanwhile, Ao Bing's father, the Dragon King Ao Guang, believes his son is dead and unleashes chaos, freeing the imprisoned Dragon Kings of the Four Seas. Ao Bing fights to protect Chentang Pass but ultimately disintegrates from the effort.

Ao Guang agrees to a ceasefire with a strange condition: for seven days, Ne Zha and Ao Bing must share Ne Zha’s body and complete Immortal Wuliang’s three trials to ascend to xianhood. If they succeed, they’ll receive a potion to restore the Sacred Lotus and give Ao Bing a new body. Ne Zha suppresses his demonic nature with a sleeping pill, letting Ao Bing control their body during the trials. Together, they defeat a marmot bandit clan and a demon trainer preparing candidates for xian trials.

At the same time, Ao Guang assigns Shen Gongbao, a leopard demon who has joined the heavenly court, to oversee Chentang Pass. Gongbao is reunited with his younger brother, Shen Xiaobao, who reveals the sect’s past raid on their village. Tragically, Xiaobao dies from wounds sustained while defending their father in Ne Zha’s second trial.

While the sect readies the final trial, the Dragon Kings destroy Chentang Pass. Enraged that the act kills his parents, Ne Zha completes the trial alone, becomes a xian and wins the potion. Taiyi restores Ao Bing’s body, but Ne Zha, fueled by vengeance and rage, joins Wuliang’s forces to trap the dragons in a sect cauldron, where they’ll be turned into elixirs.

Ne Zha’s parents arrive with Ao Bing and Taiyi, revealing Wuliang’s true role in the attack. Meanwhile, Gongbao realizes Wuliang orchestrated the siege on his family. The three Dragon Kings betray their kind and side with Wuliang, framing Ao Guang to justify wiping out the dragons. Gongbao fights to protect the city, giving Ne Zha’s parents a chance to escape.

A final battle erupts, ending with Wuliang trapping Ne Zha’s group in the cauldron. As his mother dissolves into elixir, Ne Zha absorbs the cauldron’s samadhi fire, solidifying his body. With help from the dragons and prisoners, Ne Zha and Ao Bing shatter the cauldron, forcing the heavenly forces to retreat. Ao Guang leads the surviving dragons into hiding, while Ao Bing stays to expose Wuliang’s schemes.

Is that the end of Wuliang's schemes? What happens to Ao Bing and Ne Zha's relationship?
