G20 [Movie Review] | When I saw Viola in the poster, I knew that I have to give this one a go.
Will she be the bad-a$s woman that I love as well in the movie?

In Budapest, ex-Aussie Special Forces Corporal Edward Rutledge steals a $70 million crypto wallet with his team of mercenaries. At the same time, US President Danielle Sutton, an Army vet, is dealing with her daughter Serena’s rebellious streak. After a public incident, she and her husband Derek decide to bring their kids along to the G20 summit in Cape Town, South Africa.
But things go sideways fast.
Rutledge and his men infiltrate the summit, overpower security and the President's Secret Service team and take control of a fortified hotel hosting the world’s top leaders. While many are taken hostage, President Sutton escapes with a few key figures, including the UK Prime Minister and the IMF head, while Derek races to protect their kids.
Broadcasting live to the world, Rutledge accuses Sutton and the G20 of global corruption, urging people to ditch traditional banking and invest in crypto. Using deepfakes of the hostages, he manipulates public opinion, causing a spike in crypto value and his own wallet.

Amidst the chaos, Serena manages to alert the Vice President. The President along with Manny, one of her Secret Service agent, navigates through the danger while Derek is captured. Meanwhile, two undercover South African agents reveal themselves and help rescue Serena and her brother.
As more leaders are executed, the President is forced to surrender to save Derek and her allies. Rutledge unleashes a final deepfake of the President admitting to rob the world with her manipulating the world's market. That particular video causes the US economy to crash and makes him billions.
But his plan starts to unravel when Han, South Korea’s First Lady, stabs him. The crypto wallet is lost in the chaos and Rutledge is tackled out of a helicopter by the President before he can kill Serena.
The President realises that Rutledge is not working alone. He has aids coming from inside the Oval Office.
Who is the traitor and why?

MY REVIEW
What I Like:
- Another strong performance from Viola.
- The theme of the movie is women empowerment. Strong women characters in the movie
What I Don't Like:
- The fighting scenes seem a bit rehearsed.
- The children are a bit 'green' in acting.
Will I Watch It Again: I don't mind watching it again, but not on my top list to watch.
Overall: 4.3/ 5.0
