Eddie is having the worst day ever. His van is busted and without cash to fix it, he can’t pick up his daughter, Sarah. Desperate, he resorts to petty theft: stealing a wallet, buying lottery tickets and searching for cars to rob.
When he stumbles upon an unlocked luxury SUV, the Dolus, he breaks in and searched the car only to find a pair of sunglasses. He grabs it. But when he tries to leave, the doors lock, trapping him inside.
Then the car rings.
The caller, William, claims to own the Dolus and reveals he has wired and modified it as a high-tech trap after multiple break-ins. Watching Eddie through hidden cameras, William toys with him such as tasing him through the seat and leaving him bleeding. Eddie tries to fight back, but the bulletproof glass and soundproofing make escape impossible.

William, a wealthy doctor with terminal cancer, has one goal: to serve his own brand of justice. He torments Eddie with freezing air, yodeling music and scorching heat, demanding a conversation. Eddie refuses at first, but hunger and exhaustion wear him down. When he finally apologizes for his foul mouth, William slightly softens.
Days pass, and Eddie reaches his breaking point. Starving, dehydrated and delirious, he scratches off his last lottery ticket and wins just enough money to cover for his van's service. But William doesn’t care. The real test is proving this was Eddie’s first crime. He hands over his personal info, but instead of freedom, he gets more suffering. Desperate, he discovers a way into the car’s electrical system, hidden from William’s cameras.
Just as Eddie thinks he’s found an escape, William takes control, remotely driving the Dolus on a deadly rampage. Eddie watches helplessly as William tracks down Sarah, nearly running her over. He threatens to end it all, pulling the trigger on himself but the gun is empty.
William isn’t done. He takes Eddie on a final ride, planning to kill him.
With him being tied to the car, can Eddie saves himself and return to his family?
