- Qodrat 3 is in development.
- Beyond Islamic mysticism and demonology, the film also touches on labor activism and women’s rights.
- Like the last film, the team worked with Dr. Zastrouw and Ustad Isman to make sure everything felt real and stayed true to Islamic values and Javanese culture.
- During a Qodrat 2 scene, some cast members were actually possessed. The director thought they were just acting—until raqis had to step in.

During the exorcism of the demon As’-Su’ A’la from his son Alif Al-Fatanah, Qodrat was not alone as his wife, Azizah, assisted him. But mid-ritual, she was tempted by Zhaduq, a minion of the demon they were fighting. Tricked into choosing Qodrat’s safety in exchange for her faith, she declared Zhaduq as her protector. The price was heavy where the exorcism failed and Alif died.
Grieving and defeated, Qodrat returned to his hometown, only to learn Azizah had been institutionalized after hearing of his supposed death in prison. Now released, she was working at the enigmatic Benang Emas Factory. On his way there, Qodrat encountered Sukardi, a man desperate for answers about his wife Murni’s mysterious death and the disappearance of her sister Purwanti who were both factory workers at the same factory where Azizah is currently working. Locals whispered dark rumors of pesugihan, an occult wealth ritual involving demonic pacts. They said a black buffalo’s head was buried within the factory’s foundation.
As Qodrat and Sukardi approached, Sukardi was unknowingly possessed by a demon, Syaqwan, sent to eliminate them. The demon forced Sukardi to drive off a cliff, but they survived. Qodrat exorcised him and destroyed the cursed talisman hidden in his cigarette box.

Inside the factory, Purwanti and Azizah discovered dark truths. The workers were being sacrificed to Zhaduq and a cult led by the sinister dukun Safih was operating beneath the factory. They tried to escape, but only Purwanti succeeded. Azizah was caught until Qodrat and a recovered Sukardi returned to save her. Safih captured Qodrat, torturing him and offering Azizah as another sacrifice.
Qodrat broke free, destroyed the talisman sewn into Azizah’s clothing and banished Zhaduq. A worker uprising, led by Purwanti, created chaos. As Safih unleashed mass possession and deadly black magic, Qodrat countered with exorcisms and destroyed the demonic altar. Safih was defeated, the factory collapsed and its dark practices were exposed.
Azizah and Qudrat return to their home, praying that the dark days are behind them now.
Is it really over?
