Revenge Gets Personal in Astro Originals’ First Wives | Following the success of One Cent Thief 2, a gripping series inspired by real cybercrimes, Astro Originals returns with First Wives, a premium comedic drama series that follows the stories of two women who seek revenge after their husbands' betrayal. With themes of infidelity, secret marriages, and debt, First Wives taps into real-life struggles that many Malaysians can relate to, making it a powerful and relevant story.

Interestingly, First Wives manages to tackle these themes with a unique blend of comedy and drama, making the series a captivating watch. Mimi Lana stars as Diyana whose husband, Azzim played by Malek Mccrone, has secretly married someone else, with ‘First Wives’ being Mimi Lana’s first venture into comedic characters. Meanwhile, Melissa Campbell plays Michelle, a wife burdened by debts with the Ah Longs after her husband Roshan’s (Charles Roberts) gambling habits.

First Wives also brings together a talented cast, blending seasoned actors and fresh faces including Andy Teh, Carmen Soo, Theebaan G, Zeera Azizi and Sathisvaran, who each add depth and authenticity to their characters.

This 8-episode premium drama premieres on 11 April, with episodes available from midnight via On Demand, Astro GO, and sooka. The series will also air at 9 PM every Friday on Astro Citra (Channel 108) and every Monday at 9 PM on Astro Ria (Channel 104). First Wives is produced by Astro Shaw and Infinitus Productions, and directed by Imro Nasution, with a script written by Catalina Mae Hubbard, Ilya Karnain, Luqman Sheikh Ghazali, and Dee Dee Peter.

The premium series marks the second collaboration between Astro Originals and Goodday Charge, Malaysia’s first enriched milk with 10 essential nutrients designed to sustain energy throughout the day. The strategic partnership includes joint marketing initiatives and product placements, with Astro Shaw also producing a special 30-second video for Goodday to celebrate the collaboration.
