The first few minutes of the early scenes depict Chris trying his luck on a speed-dating program, where he has tweaked the algorithm of the program so that he'd get more chances of meeting ladies. But it seems that his brain is not enough to get the ladies interested in him.
When a former ally, Raymond King, is gunned down in the street after digging into the disappearance of a family, his final message is scrawled on his arm: “Find the accountant.” That cryptic call lands at the feet of Marybeth Medina, now a higher-up in the Treasury Department. Though wary of reconnecting with Christian Wolff, she knows he’s the only one who can crack the code behind Raymond’s murder.

Christian takes one look at King’s case files and starts doing what he does best which is seeing the patterns no one else can. But he can’t do it alone. He calls and invites Braxton, his estranged, deadly younger brother to join forces with him. Still nursing the wounds of a relationship left hanging, Brax puts the past aside and flies in from Berlin to help.
Their search pulls them deep into L.A.’s underworld, a grim place where the vulnerable are exploited and secrets are buried under layers of money, power, and silence. Along the way, they cross paths with Anaïs, a mysterious assassin with murky motives and a knack for vanishing right when things get heated. Her role in King’s investigation remains a puzzle but her reappearances at different and multiple crime scenes hint at a bigger game in play.
The trio pushes forward, dodging bullets and bureaucracy to assist the vulnerable and solve Raymond's investigation.
What will the trio find underneath all those layers?
